What If I use network drives to store data centrally in my organization?
BIM 360 Team enables you to collaborate without the need to deal with firewalls and VPNs which present challenges when trying to access network drives remotely or collaborate with people outside your firewall. Also network drives don’t track and monitor version history and model updates, but BIM 360 Team does which ensures all users have access to the latest files and project information.

Autodesk BIM 360 Team – Steps to downloading
In order for you to create a Autodesk BIM 360 team account you will first need to have and Autodesk account.
Step 1:
Type into the search engine (google chrome, Firefox, internet explorer etc.) “Autodesk BIM 360”.
On the page that opens you will find options.
Under the option “Autodesk BIM 360 team” Click “Learn more”.
Step 2:
The Autodesk BIM 360 team home page will appear, you will then need the Click “Try it now” .
Step 3:
A dialog box should appear once this is selected from here you enter in your Autodesk Account email address and Click “Submit”.
Once you have completed this it will then ask for you Autodesk Account password, Enter in your account password and it will bring you to the homepage of Autodesk BIM 360 team.
Step 4:
The Autodesk BIM 360 team home page should automatically create a 30 day free trial for you and this should appear in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
