Selection Mode AutoCAD

Selection Mode AutoCAD

Sometimes in AutoCAD you might find that you are only able to select one object at a time.

For example, if I select the Erase Command in AutoCAD wanting to select line 1 and line 2. However  if I select line 1 and then line 2, line 1 will be de-selected. This can be very annoying to say the least!!!

This is all down to AutoCAD System variable called “PICKADD”

The system variable If set to “0” will only allow you select one object at a time.

To change this system variable type  “PICKADD” into the command line modify the value to “1” and select return, you should now be able to select multiple objects.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ray
